Description

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) plans to issue a modification to Contract OSIA01-97-C-0001, extending the contract period of performance from 1 October 2001 through 21 December 2001 and providing additional funding to cover support requirements during this 82-day extension period. The contract extension will provide continued support while a follow-on competitive contract is being awarded and implemented. Under the extension to the current contract, Raytheon Technical Services will continue to provide critical operation and maintenance of a semi-automated system to monitor vehicles and cargo loads exiting from the Votkinsk Machine Building Plant in Russia under the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START). Raytheon will provide logistics, maintenance, food preparation, health care, and linguist personnel to support inspection activities at the remote site located in Votkinsk, Russia. Based on Raytheon's technical expertise and broad base of subcontractors and consultants, DTRA believes Raytheon Technical Services is the only contractor capable of providing ongoing programmatic support functions and meeting varied and complex technical requirements within time and budgetary constraints for this interim period.
