Description

Reference CBD Submission Number 449388 (April 27, 2000)and three subsequent modifications, Submission Numbers: 392269 (October 15, 1999),395936 (October 28, 1999), 399978 (November 10, 1999). The U.S. Army Military District of Washington(MDW)Acquisition Center, Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, intends to issue a solicitation to provide services to process identification (ID) cards for active duty and retired military personnel, reservists, National Guard members, eligible family members, 100 percent disabled veterans and DoD Civilians in support of Base Operations at Ft. Hamilton, NY. Procedures used are Cost Comparison Study procedures regulated by the OMB A-76 and DA PAM 5-20. This function was previously synopsized using the CBD Submission Numbers shown above for Solicitation DADW35-A76-HAMILTON under potential Sources Sought for Administrative Management Services. This solicitation also uses the Simplified Acquisition Commercial Activity procedures authorized by FAR Parts 12 and 13 and a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Cost Comparison process will determine if the MPD Section of Ft. Hamilton support services function will be converted from a Government managed function to a Contractor managed operation. This contract will have a phase in period, base period and four option years. Performance is estimated to begin November 01, 2001. The primary SIC is 8744, $5 MIL.
