Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The combined Synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is DAAE07-01-T-0007. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46, dated 17 Mar 97. The associated North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) code is 421490. The U.S. Army TACOM requirement is to retrofit and install the necessary material and equipment to modify the current Landis & Gyr System 600 exhaust hood and controller system so that the air flow in one designated hood can be manually adjusted and controlled to the extent that an one eighth inch flame, described in ASTM D92 in the Annual Book of ASTM Standards, can be maintained continuously and uninhibited for up to a one hour time period. At the end of the one-hour period, the exhaust hood must revert back to the normal preset airflow rate unless the airflow is again manually adjusted. Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors are advised to include a complete copy of the Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. This acquisition is rated D04. Offers are due no later than 5:00 p.m., 15 June 01. Only electronic submissions will be accepted.
