Description

This is a notice that White Sands Missile Range (WSMR)intends to purchase on an other than full and open competitive basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1,45 each WAS425S Ultrasonic Wind Sensors (anemometers)and 45 each Cable 425ABR LDS Analog 33 DFLT from Vaisala Inc. Handar Business Unit, 1288 Reamwood Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA94089-2233. This sensor was compared to three other manufactures for sensor data compatibility with exisiting data collection platforms. It was the only sensor that proved reliable and remained compatible with the existing system. The cable is unique to the anemometer and is made by Handar. Handar was purchased by Vaisala and is the sole source of these two items. Note 22 applies, however, all responses to this synopsis received within 5 days after date of publication of original synopsis will be considered by the Government.
