SOLICITATION NO.: S-8 SOL RESPONSE DEADLINE: DUE CONTACT: POC Julius Lassiter NOTICE TEXT: High Speed Door Assembly to Contain Hazardous Materials. U. S. Patent Number 5,205,069. This is a potential licensing opportunity with Bechtel BWXT Idaho, LLC (BBWI), the prime operating contractor for the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). The high speed door was designed to close over a 3 foot diameter opening within 50 milliseconds of actuation, to contain hazardous material and vapors within a test fixture. The high speed door assembly is comprised of an actuator cylinder and piston rods, a pressure supply cylinder and fittings, an electrically detonated explosive bolt, a honeycomb structured door, a honeycomb structured declarator , and a structural steel frame encasing the assembly. License terms will include an up-front licensing fee and a running royalty based on a percentage of sales. This is not an opportunity to provide goods or services to BBWI or the Department of Energy.
