- Description
- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00181-01-Q-0423 applies. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-25. NAICS 334513 with a small business size of 500 employees. This requirement is for is for a fixed price contract for the following line item: CLIN 0001 6000 AMP Reversing D Demagnetization Machine Quantity is (1) each. Specifications: 1) T904-AS-GIB-010/271 Requirements for Nondestructive Testing Methods; 2) Submarine Maintenance Standard MS NO. 2430-081-029; Power Supply: Equipment shall operate on 460 volt AC, 60 hertz; Equipment: 6000 Amp, full wave Direct Current (DC) output, magnetizing power source with built in reversing DC demagnetization; The unit shall have a magnetization output current of 0 to 6000 amperes full wave Direct Current continuous; The unit shall have infinitely variable self-regulating current control; The unit's current control shall be calibrated and linear over the full range; The unit shall have overload protection; The unit shall have a convenience outlet with 115 volt 60 Hz. 5 amps.; The current output shall be displayed on a digital ammeter. The unit shall have solid state demag switching (no reversing contacts) The unit shall have a mounted control panel with solid state controls. The units frame shall be welded steel construction with lifting eyes for overhead crane lifting, the unit shall also have caster wheels for ease in movement. NOTE: Cables are not required with equipment. WARRANTY: The unit shall be covered by warranty from defects in design, materials, and workmanship for a period of 3 years after delay or acceptance, whichever is the latter. During warranty period, the supplier will cover all costs including parts, labor, and shipping charges Delivery shall be on or before 01 September 2001; FOB destination, NNSY, Portsmouth, VA 23709. Inspection/acceptance at destination. FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52-212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5 (1) (5), (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), (16), (17) and (22) apply. DFAR 252.212.7001 and DFAR 252.204-7004 "REQUIRED CENTRAL REGISTRATION" apply to this acquisition. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror/quoter INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. Info can be obtained through internet at http://ccr2000.com. Offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3. Offer Representation and Certification-Commercial Items. Offer shall be evaluated for fair and reasonable price, technical acceptability, adherence to applicable clauses, provisions, and satisfactory past performance. The Navy's contractor evaluation system, Red/Yellow/Green Program will apply in the evaluation process. Parties responding to this solicitation may submit their quote in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g. company letterhead, formal quote form, etc) but must include the following: 1) complete mailing/remittance address; 2) prompt payment discount; 3) anticipated delivery; 4) Taxpayer Identification Number; 5) All completed certifications as required as required herein. All quotations must be received by close of business, 12 June 2001.
