Description

Construction of Offshore Breakwaters and Placement of Beach Nourishment at Fort Story, Virginia. Using sand pumped onto the beach by another contract, reconstruct the seaward side of the eroded dune and construct a 100 foot wide berm approximately 6400 feet long. Construct from 15 to 21 headland breakwaters 150 feet long at 150 feet intervals and 150 feet offshore. Magnitude of construction is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Duration of the project is 270 calendar days for performance for the base performance plus additional time for any options awarded. This is an UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT. Applicable SIC code is 1629, with a size standard of $27.5 million. The NAICS code is 23490. The solicitation will be available on the internet only. No paper copies or CDs will be issued.
