Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with MCT Industries Albuquerque, NM for the acquisition of thirty (30) Engine Transportation Trailers P/N 4800-000-00. Required delivery date is 31 December 2001. The item is used in Organizational Level Maintenance for the V-22. The Engine Transportation Trailers support and transport major aircraft components such as; proprotor tiltaxis and mid-wing gearboxes, APU, proprotor blades and the T406 Engine mounted to adapters on a 48 inch on-center rail trailer within the cargo compartment of the V-22 aircraft. The trailers must work in conjunction with various adapter assemblies. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. SEE NUMBERED Notes 22
