- Description
- The US EPA Office of Acquisition Management is in the process of assessing the technology requirements and costs associated with the replacement of its existing Simplified Acquisition procurement system. As part of the preliminary research, the EPA is requesting information from any interested parties which may have an existing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) package which meets the mandatory EPA Acquisition Management System (EPAAMS) requirements or would meet the requirements with minor modifications. The purpose of this procurement system will be to process, issue, modify and track purchase orders, delivery orders, and task orders from inception through award through a web-enabled system. This will include but is not limited to: capturing and reporting FPDS data, issuing request for quotes, creating and storing data, retreiving information for reporting purposes, allocating funding, and generating clauses. For access to the complete list of system requirements, please see the EPA Website for this RFI at: Http://www.epa.gov/oamhpod1/oppts_grp/0101rfi/index.htm. Firms submitting materials demonstrating the ability to meet most or all of the mandatory system requirements may be invited to demonstrate their COTS package at EPA Headquarters in Washington, DC. Information submitted should be limited to the areas outlined in the requirements document and should not exceed ten (10) pages. This request for information is for purposes of exchanging information to improve understanding of the Government requirement and industry capability, and is for information and planning only. The announcement must not be construed as a committment by the Government. Any information submitted by industry will not constitute an offer which could be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Request for Information or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Written responses are requested by June 25, 2001, however, earlier dialog is available. Address responses to: US EPA, Denny Daniel, Automation Service Center Manager, 1200 Pennsylvania Ave., NW (3801R), Washington, DC 20460 or submit your information electronically to Ms. Daniel at daniel.denny@epa.gov.
