Description

The Air Force Equipment Management System (AFEMS) Program Office, Material Systems Group, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio plans to contract on a sole source basis with Lockheed Martin Information Systems (LMIS), Orlando Florida. The planned sole source contract will be a follow-on effort covering operations, maintenance, and support of the Air Force Equipment Management System as well as the initiation and continuation of technical refresh activities. Ongoing activities include integration of the Classified Equipment Requirements Computation System (CERC), integration of functions to permit Chief Financial Officer (CFO) expansion of asset/cost reporting, and integration of AFEMS into the Global Combat Support System-Air Force (GCSS-AF) architecture. An award to LMIS is anticipated to assure undisrupted O&M support of AFEMS, which is the single source for total visibility of all USAF equipment and which drives logistics decisions across all Commands from base level through HQ USAF. The GCSS-AF task requires an in-depth understanding of the GCSS-AF Infrastructure Framework requirements and modeling techniques that have been gained by LMIS. Anticipated contract types are fixed price and labor-hour. Information associated with this program is classified up to and including SECRET/NOFORN.
