Description

There will be a meeting on 6/21/01, from 8:30 AM to 12:00 noon, at the Cox Building, Research Triangle Institute in Research Triangle Park, NC for the BFP Technical Panel under EPA's Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) program. This panel is composed of representatives from the manufacturers, vendors, regulators, testing and user communities for baghouses. The technical panel has been selected; however, this meeting is open to all who wish to attend. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss possible changes to the draft Generic Verification Protocol for BFP. Further information of the ETV program and travel information to RTP can be found on the Air Pollution Control Technology (APTC) Verification Center website at http://etv.rti.org/apct/index.html. EPA's verification partner in the APTC Verification Center is the Research Triangle Institute (RTI), a non-profit contract research organization. The goal of ETV is to verify the performance characteristics of commercially ready environmental technologies so that potential purchasers and permitters are provided with an independent and credible assessment of the technology they are buying or permitting. RTI and EPA are partners in the ETV pilot program.
