Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) plans to negotiate on a sole source basis with the St. Louis County Police Department (SLCPD) and the Harris County Sheriff's Department (HCSD) for the addition of administrative services to their current contracts for fraud investigative services with the Office of the Inspector General's (OIG) Cooperative Disability Investigations team (CDI) (0600-00-39839 & 0600-00-40099). The contractor shall provide administrative services for the CDI team as follows: 1. Perform a wide variety of coordinative, liaison, administrative, and workflow control services essential to the effective operation of the CDI unit office including, but not limited to: budget preparation; review and analysis of incoming correspondence and general office administrative policies; arranging meetings and conferences for CDI Team Leader and CDI unit staff; making travel arrangements for CDI unit staff, maintaining administrative files and records; and keeping the CDI Team Leader informed on the status of issues and assignments. 2. Perform a variety of administrative, and workflow control services essential to the effective operation of the CDI unit office including, but not limited to: filing office records, copying and filing investigative reports, copying and mailing of investigative reports, answering the telephone and taking messages; receiving and distributing incoming mail; and assisting the CDI unit?s DDS Liaison Officer as needed. The personnel supplied by the contractors have the necessary skills and experience to perform the job duties and have passed all the necessary background and security checks required for employment. It is SSA's belief that the SLCPD and the HCSD are the only qualified sources to meet the Government's needs. This notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a competitive request for quotation and the Government does not intend to pay for information solicited or received. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of information received. The Government will consider all information from responsible sources within 7 days after the date of this synopsis.
