Description

The General Services Administration intends to issue a contract to Media Deimensions, 1275 Bloomfield Avenue, Building 3, Unit 59, Fairfield, NJ 07004. A justification of other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is follow-on work to a similar system configured and supported by Media Deimensions at Benet Laboratories, Watervliet, New York. The requirement is for a video production and animation system capable of simulating live firings of weapon systems currently in development. This system will be used to assist customers and design engineers in visualizing future weapon system's design and reduce prototype hardware production costs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but responses received before June 6, 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
