Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, One Freedom Way, Augusta, Georgia, contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with American Red Cross, South Carolina Region, PO Box 3217, Columbia, SC 29230, for estimated quantities of red blood cells and blood products, for the period July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2002. Negotiations to begin on or about June 25, 2001. Applicable NAICS code is 325414. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 15 days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products meet VA requirement, to the Contracting Officer or by fax to 706-731-7172. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
