Description

The Government intends to issue a competitive Request for Proposal(RFP) for rotate bearing replacement on a 40-ton portal crane for Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, Yorktown, VA. The work shall include all work necessary to remove an existing rotate bearing and replace with a new Government furnished rotate bearing. Work shall accomplished on Pier R3 at the Weapons Station. The crane will be made available for performance of this work beginning in March 2002. The RFP is expected to be issued in June 2001. This will be an electronic solicitation only in .PDF format. No paper solicitations will be issued. A pre-proposal conference will be held at the Naval Wepons Station Yorktown, Yorktown, VA approxiamtely 10 days after initial issuance of the solicitation. Cost and technical proposals are being solicited. Telephonic requests will not be honored. The solicitation may be downloaded by visiting the electronic solicitation website at the following internet address: http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. Interested parties are highly encouraged to register at the website prior to downloading the solicitation. This will be a small business set aside.
