Description

PILOTING SERVICES FOR VARIOUS PORTS THROUGHOUT THE PUGET SOUND AREA. Specific areas to be covered: Seattle, Everett, Bremerton, Manchester, Port Hadlock, and Bellingham. Services are to be in compliance with the Puget sound pilots association and tariffs. The base period of performance shall be from 1 July 2001 through 30 June 2002. Four 1-year option periods will also be evaluated and may be unilaterally exercised by the government. The government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price, requirements type contract under procedures for commercial services (FAR part 12) using simplified acquisition procedures (FAR 13.5). Prospective offerors not CCR registered should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil under "Business Opportunities" and solicitation number "N0040601R5186". The Government will distribute no hard copy solicitation or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or email the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted ONLY via the NECO website. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO website early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO website is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted on the reference website.
