Description

N68950-01-Q-3748, Work includes provisions of necessary labor, transportation, materials, supplies, equipment, and supervision for the replacement of rigid couplings with full-flexible couplings on the hoist drive shafts for five bridge cranes in Buildings 40 & 41 at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana. The contractor shall complete the coupling replacement on one crane in building 41 by 30 June 2001, with the work being prioritized by the Government. Replacement of the remaining couplings shall be completed by 31 July 2001. Work also includes removal of existing brake linings and replacement of the brake linings of the hoist brakes and bridge brakes on the four cranes in building 40. Replacement linings shall be asbestos free and documentation shall be provided indicating that the linings contain no asbestos. All work shall be performed in accordance with OSHA regulations. No Government material or equipment will be provided. This solicitation will be issued as a performance contract, best value basis with technical and price proposals required. Technical proposals will be evaluated on the factors listed in the solicitation. This proposed contract listed here is an unrestriced procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 811310 Commercial & Industrial Machinery & Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The Small Business Size Standard is $5 Million. Approximate proposal due date will be June 06, 2001, 4:00 p.m. local time, Crane, Indiana. This RFQ will be released via the Internet. All prospective offerors and plan rooms must be registered on the website. This RFQ will be available for viewing and downloading at http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. The official planholders list will be maintained and can be printed from the website only. Amendments will be posted on the website for downloading. This will normally be the only method of distributing amendments, therefore, IT IS THE OFFEROR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THIS RFQ.
