- CBD Notice CONGRESSMAN TOM DAVIS FEDERAL PROCUREMENT CONFERENCE June 11, 2001 Congressman Tom Davis, in cooperation with George Mason University Procurement Technical Assistance Program at the Mason Enterprise Center, will sponsor a federal procurement conference at the George Mason University's Fairfax, Virginia campus on June 11, 2001 from 8:30AM to 3:00PM. In addition to Congressman Davis, Diedre A. Lee, Director of Defense Procurement, Department of Defense will be the luncheon speaker. Representatives from the DOD, GSA, Navy, and other agencies will discuss the latest developments in procurement methodology in importance to small and large businesses. Participants can choose from six topics covering the major issues on government contracting, including: Track A 10:00am E-Commerce Perspective 11:15am SBIR/STTR/ATP 1:30pm Marketing your GSA Schedule Track B 10:00am Quality Management Systems-ISO 9000 2000 or CMM/SEI-What's best for my business? 11:15am Performance Based Contracting- Past Performance Databases 1:30pm Teaming and Partnering-S/C Successes With over 45 Exhibitors/Counselors from government agencies including Defense Logistics Agency, Small Business Administration, General Service Administration and several of the Washington Area prime contractors, businesses will have an opportunity to learn invaluable information on the specifics of contracting with these agencies. The registration fee for this event is $25.00 per person, which includes attendance, refreshments, and a boxed lunch.
