MUST PROVIDE COATING ON THE ETALONS WITH THE FOLLOWING CHARATERISTICS: 1.a DIELECTRIC REFLECTIVE COATING REQUIREMENTS: CENTRAL WAVELENGTH: 154.82nm (SOLAR CIV CORONAL MISSION LINE) REFLECTIVITY: 77% PLUS OR MINUS 3% FROM 153nm TO 157nm FOR ANGLES OF INCIDENCE < 15 DEGREES. ABSORPTION: LESS THEAN 1% FROM 153 TO 157nm. COATING MUST ALLOW CONTACT CLEANING. COATING MUST BE DURABLE. EXTREMELY LOW-STRESS COATING, USING LOW ENERGY ION DEPOSITION METHODS AND UNHEATED SUBSTANCES, TO MINIMIZE SUBSTRATE DEFORMATION BY RESIDUAL FILM STRESS. COMPATIBLE WITH VUV FP ETALON USAGE. 1.b SEMITRANSPARENT, STRESS-FREE OR ALUMINUM OVERCOATINGS (ON THE FIRST PAIR OF ETALONS ONLY)WITH THE FOLLOWING CHARATERISTICS: CENTRAL WAVELENGTH:633nm REFLECTIVITY: 70% TO 75%, ACHIEVED BY THICKNESS CONTROL OF A METALLIC COATING WITH INTRINSIC REFLECTIVITY >90%. REMOVABLE METALLIC COATING WITHOUT DAMAGING THE DIELECTRIC REFLECTIVE COATING. 2.VERIFICATION: FILTER PERFORMANCE WILL BE VERIFIED AT MSFC BY MEASURING WITNESS SAMPLES COATED SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH THE ETALONS AND THE ETALONS THEMESELVES AT VUV WAVELENGTHS.
