- Description
- The purpose of this notice is to modify the description of Liquid Level Sensor Cable Assembly for M56 Smoke Generator Set, NSN 1040-01-422-7495, SPI Number P31-15-4363, Part Number 31-15-4430. This item is used in both the turbine fuel and fog oil tanks of the M56 vehicle and in the fog oil tank of the M58 vehicle. Sensor is inserted into the fog oil tank to determine how much fog oil is left in the tank. Item provides electrical continuity only when submerged in fuel or fog oil. When fuel or fog oil drops below the level of the sensor, a low fuel condition is indicated. Material on housing and prism is Polysulfone.
