Description

Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide a brush and tree cutter/mulcher that has a diesel engine that will mount on a Caterpillar D6H, in place of the dozer blade, which will be referred to in the specification as the prime mover. The tree cutter/mulcher will be used to clear brush and trees from high voltage electric transmission rights of way. The is a commercial acquisition. There will only be one award from this solicitation. Therefore, all Offerors must submit their quotes on an "all or none basis". The solicitation package will be issued hard copy Free of Charge. Note: In accordance with FAR 5.102-3, Western procurement officials will be limiting availability of the solicitation package. Therefore, only a Limited Number of Copies will be issued on a "first-come, first-serve" basis. This solicitation will be issued on or about June 1, 2001. The closing date is on or about June 11, 2001. This proposed procurement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. National American Industry Classification Code is 333120 and the applicable size standard is 750.
