- Description
- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to procure a = total of seven X-ray machines that will be capable of detecting hidden = threats with the ability to screen for weapons, the presence of = explosives, and currency or Treasury Security Items (Numbering Blocks = and Federal Reserve Bank Seals), entering and leaving the Fort Worth = Facility. All units must be capable of penetrating 25 millimeters of = steel. Each unit will be used daily to screen incoming mail, handbags, = lunch containers, items of clothing, and parcels, etc. The X-ray = machines must be capable of penetrating four millimeters of steel. All = machines must be Bi-Directional, Dual Image/Dual generator, with = control panels, monitors located on a remote display table and must = meet the specifications as spelled out in the attached Statement of = Work (SOW). The contractor will provide warranties. Also the contractor = will provide all required training and O&M manuals, shipping and = handling, and installation. Five X-ray machines must meet the following = specifications: a size capacity of 73? width X 173? length X 80? height = with a parcel opening of 26?X 41?. One X-ray machine must meet a size = standard of 35? wide X48? long X 75? high. One X-ray machine must be = capable of fitting through a 40? X40? opening with a size of 75? width = X 170? length X65? height and a parcel opening of 30? wide X 48? high. = BEP anticipates awarding a contract for the supplies and services = listed above. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) = code is 333315. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is = 5084 with a size standard of 500 employees.
