Description

Fire Alarm System Upgrade -- 4050 Alpha Road, Farmers Branch, Texas. GS-07P-01-UAC-0028, Due July 5, 2001. Point of Contact (POC) Judi Grossman, 214-767-5591 (judi.grossman@gsa.gov). NAICS Code 235310 (Formerly SIC Code 1731). Provide all material, and labor to upgrade a single fire alarm system that will cover the entire facility (approximately 345,000 sq.ft.) The system shall be an intelligent, analog, addressable, fire alarm system and include new conduit and wiring. The existing system shall be kept in service until new system is in operation. The Fire Alarm System is Upgrade Project number RTX20036, Building Number TX0302ZZ. The building is occupied and shall remain occupied during entire period of construction. Period of performance is 365 calendar days. Estimate cost range of project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. This contract will be acquired utilizing Source Selection procedures with a firm fixed price award to offeror who provides the best value to the Government. GSA is issuing this solicitation only electronically. This solicitation will be issued on or about June 5, 2001. The solicitation, and any documents related to this procurement, will be available via the internet in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format and AutoCad (.dxf) format. Interested parties may access the solicitation at http://www.eps.gov/. This site provides instructions for downloading the solicitation file. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and any related amendments, if applicable. This project is being procured on an unrestricted basis under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Therefore, all responsible firms are invited to particpate. A bid guarantee shall be required. A pre-proposal meeting is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, June 19, 2001, at the project location. Final information regarding the pre-proposal meeting shall be included with solicitation documents.
