Description
EXTENSION: A Prospectus for renewal of a Concession Contract (No. CC-YELL002-70) was published on October 2, 2000 (SOLYELL002)with offers due on January 2, 2001. Because of the scope of questions received from potential offerors, the National Park Service has determined that a response date of July 16, 2001, is more appropriate. Proposals and any modifications to them must be received by the National Park Service by 4:00 p.m. (close of business) on July 16, 2001. AMENDMENT: Subfactor B4(c) The Proposal Package -- clarification The requirement is for the offeror to submit the proforma income statement, by month, for the first two years of operations, and to submit the balance sheet annually. Section 9(d) Concession Facilities Improvement Program AMENDMENT(2) A. Employee Housing (i) Construct employee housing at Lake (approx. 26 beds) If employee dining facilities are constructed as part of the project, a grease trap will be required. Construction to be complete within 4 years after the effective date of the contract. Estimated cost: $850,000 (ii)Construct employee recreational vehicle sites at Canyon Village (approx. 10 sites) Construction to be complete within 4 years after the effective date of the contract. Estimated cost: $250,000 (iii) Construct employee recreational vehicle sites at Grant Village (approx. 10 sites). Construction to be coordinated with reconstruction of Grant Village contractors' court (not before 2004). Estimated cost: $250,000. (iv) Demolish and/or remove from the park, the mobile home and roof structure behind the Lake General Store by November 1, 2004. (v) Renovate employee recreational vehicle sites at Lake (approx. 30 sites). Renovation to be complete within 3 years after the effective date of the contract. Estimated cost: $400,000 (vi) Demolish and/or remove from the park, the Fishing Bridge Boys' Dormitory (after completion of the Lake dormitory and Lake recreational vehicle sites). Completed within 5 years of the effective date of the contract. B. Public Restrooms (i) Old Faithful Lower Store Add accessible rest rooms. Construction to be complete within 2 years after effective date of the contract. Estimated cost: $75,000 (ii) Old Faithful Upper Store Add accessible rest rooms. Construction to be complete within 2 years after effective date of the contract. Estimated cost: $75,000 C. Remove Store at Tower Fall To be removed by November 1, 2004. D. Construct General Store at Tower Junction -- Facility will be suitable for year-round operation and be accessible. Services to include limited food service (seating for 20-25) groceries, general merchandise, cold and hot drinks, film, limited souvenir items. One or two employee apartments can be included. Building to be compatible with Roosevelt Historic District, and may be approximately 10,000 sq. ft. in size. Construction to be complete within 6 years of the effective date of the contract. Estimated cost: $3,600,000 When Tower Junction Store is complete, the existing Roosevelt Store will be closed and the building will be used for another purpose, as approved by the National Park Service.
