Description

The project covered by this statement consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing and installing all plant, labor, supplies, equipment, materials, fabrications and transportation; and in completing all work to construct a new helicopter maintenance facility and associated site work. The base bid consists of approximately 58,400 SF of hangar, maintenance and office space in accordance with the plans and specifications. Work includes construction of concrete foundation, steel frame and block enclosure with a metal deck. Approximately 34,100 SY of airfield pavement (both bituminous and PCC), paved shoulders, access roads, site utilities and site work are also part of the project. Also included is all related electrical and HVAC. There are two additive bid items with this project. 1. Construct a second building, approximately 10,400 SF. Work includes concrete foundation, steel frame, block masonry exterior and all related electrical and HVAC. 2. Construct an access road from Rte 10 / 202. All work is located adjacent Barnes ANG Base, Westfield, MA, and is to be accomplished in accordance with the plans and specifications and Sections A through J of the Contract. Project title is Army Aviation Support Facility. Estimated magnitude of construction is over $10,000,000.00. This project is being issued on an unrestricted basis to contractors qualified to perform under SIC Code 1542, NAICS 23332 "General Contractors-Nonresidential Buildings, Other than Industrial Buildings and Warehouses ."
