Description

The work is to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision required to perform the collection and disposal of garbage, refuse and trash from family housing and other locations at Naval Support Activity Mid-South, Millington, TN. The contract period will be for a period of one (1) year commencing 1 October 2001, with the option to extend the contract up to an additional 4 years. The option periods will be exercised without further notice if they are in the best interest of the Government. The estimated solicitation release date is June 28, 2001. The estimated due date for receipt of bids is July 31, 2001. This solicitation is classified as unrestricted and open to participation by all interested parties. The Government intends on issuing the solicitation through the use of the Internet only. All prospective bidders and plan rooms must register on the web-site. The entire solicitation will be available for viewing and downloading at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. The download time may be excessive. The official plan holder's list will be maintained and can be printed from the web-site. Amendments will be posted on the web-site for downloading. This will normally be the only method of distributing amendments; therefore, IT IS THE BIDDER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEB-SITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THIS SOLICITATION.
