- This announcement is for information purposes only. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization intends to issue Communication Service Authorizations to MCI Telecommunications Corporation to continue the operation and maintenance of a communications system that supports secure voice conferencing within the Metropolitan Washington Area. The circuits on this system provide survivability through a High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) Facility. These circuits and equipment will support the Enhanced Pentagon Capability (EPC). Note 22 applies.
