- 18 May 2001 JEFX 2002 Industry Day: 31 May -- 1June 2001 Announcement Update The Air Force Electronic Systems Center (ESC) Joint Expeditionary Force Experiment 2002 Program Office is hosting an unclassified industry day to help industry and government agencies who intend to submit initiatives for play in JEFX 02 gain a better understanding of the technical baseline and requirements involved. The Industry Day will take place on May 31- June 1 2001, 0900 to 1600, at the Hanscom Conference Center (formerly the Phillips Lab Science Center), Building 1106, Grenier Street, Hanscom AFB, MA. Firms interested in attending the conference must register by 25 May 2001 by emailing the names of attendees to JEFX@HANSCOM.AF.MIL Hanscom AFB has recently revised its entry procedures. It is imperative to have all attendees registered by 25 May to allow time for processing a base entry list. Due to space limitations firms are limited to three attendees. We suggest that firms designate one technical expert and one marketing/management representative as a minimum. The proposed agenda, which is subject to change, is as follows: 31 May 01: 0800-1600; Welcome; Administrative; JEFX 02 Program Overview: -General Overview of JEFX 02 Construct, -Objectives, -Scenario, -Initiative selection process; Technical (Infrastucture) segment: -ESC/CXE Engineers will brief the JEFX 02 Systems Architecture, -ACC/SCN Engineers will brief the JEFX 02 Comm Architecture, -ESC/AC will brief TBMCS; Roundtable. 1 June 01: 0800-1200: Initiative Segment: -ESC/AC presents what they are submitting towards TCT, -ESC/SR presents what they are submitting towards ISR Management, -General discussion of CBD documentation; Roundtable. On the 31st, the morning session will include a formal ESC presentation on JEFX 02. The afternoon will consist of a Roundtable session to give industry/government a chance to ask questions regarding the technical segment. The Roundtable will encourage a free-flowing dialogue between Government and Industry, to help refine the JEFX 02 objectives and gain further insight. Time will also be set aside for questions. This process will be repeated on the second day; several government agencies will present initiatives proposed for play in JEFX 02. All questions fielded during JEFX 02 Industry Day will be posted on HERBB at a later date. Hanscom AFB Entry Procedures are as follows: Proceed to the Hanscom "Route 2A" Gate (Not the Hartwell Avenue Gate). Pull into the Visitor's Center parking lot next to the gate and obtain a base pass from personnel inside the building. Visitors will need a current driver's license and a copy of their car's registration (or rental agreement) to obtain a pass. Names of attendees will be provided by the JEFX office based on registered attendees from the JEFX 2002 mailbox. People approaching the Hartwell Avenue Gate without proper entry authorization credentials will be sent around to enter at the "Route 2A" /Visitor's Center Gate. Additional information regarding Industry Day will be made available at Electronic System Center's HERBB http://herbb.hanscom.af.mil/rfp_list.asp. Note: This announcement is part of market research only; it is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotations (RFQ) or an Invitation for Bids (IFB), nor does it commit the Government to issue such a request or invitation. Industry Day participation and one-on-one discussions with industry are strictly voluntary and the Government will not provide any reimbursement or otherwise pay for information/presentations associated with Industry Day.
