Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items or services prepared in accordance with format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued for Request for Quotation (RFQ No. NIA-01-AW-LNG09). The soliciation clause and provisions are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-6. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) for this acquisition is 5049. The NAICS for this acquistion is 421490. The NIH, National Institute on Aging, Gerontology Research Center intends to purchase 10 (QTY-10) Multiblock system with standard 0.2ml block; one (QTY-1) Multiblock system with Gradient 0.2ml block; four (QTY-4) Multiblock system with 382 well block; and one (QTY-1) Start-up kit which includes Pentium computer & software for use with the Multiblock system. This equipment is needed at the NIH, National Institute on Aging, Building 10, Bethesda, MD. The following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commerical Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commerical Items; along with the following FAR clauses, cited in clause 52.215-5: 52-222-26 Equal Opportunity; 52.222-35 Affirmative Action for Special Disabled and Vietnam Era Veterans; 52.222-36 Affirmative Action for handicapped Workers; 52.222-37 Employment reports on Special Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.2225-3 Buy American Act-Supplies. The following provisions also apply to this acquisition, 52.232-33 Mandatory Information for Electronic Funds Transfer Payment. An award will be made at the closing date on 05/25/01, 5:00 PM Eastern Time to the above address.
