Description

ITEM: ENCLOSURE ASSEMBLY, NSN: 5975-01-456-0997, P/N: 12965295, END ITEM: M198 HOWITZER. Item is 100 percent set-aside for Small Business. Item is a sealed relay enclosure assembly used on the M198 Howitzer. Parts include two cable assemblies, a diode assembly, splice conductor receptable, and bus bar receptacle installed into a housing made from aluminum casting, alloy 356, temper T6. Impregnated, waterproof, vibration and humidity testing is required. The approximate size is 6.5 inches wide by 7 inches long by 3.74 inches thick. Requirements are for 135 each with a 100 percent option requirement. FOB Point is Destination. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is 11 June 2001. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c), therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: http://aais.ria.army.mil. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bit opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in rejection of same. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Small Business. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code, Company Name, Pont of Contact, Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet. Note 1 applies.
