Description

Production, delivery and installation of storefront, model/small artifact and mannequin museum case units with long-term protection of artifacts in a dust-free, climate controlled, secure environment. Quantities vary from 10 to 20 case units with option to increase quantity amounts. Location is the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian Institution in Chantilly, VA, which is scheduled to open in August 2003. Offerors shall be required to submit technical and price proposals and may be required to provide financial data to support pricing and company viability. All firms interested in submitting a proposal in response to this solicitation may obtain the RFP documents by submitting a written request on company letterhead and contain full company name, complete street address (P.O. Boxes will not receive responses), telephone/FAX number and the name of the person to be contacted. If this information is not provided, the Smithsonian Institution accepts no responsibility for mishandled requests. Offerors may submit their written request for the RFP documents to the above address given. Requests may also be made by FAX on (202)275-1263, Attn: Tandra Jones. FAX requests, which are garbled, smeared or otherwise illegible, may not receive responses. The date and time for receipt of proposals shall be in the RFP documents.
