Description
Potential sources are being sought for preparation of roadway pavement condition data on National Forest Highways in the State of California. There are 2250 +/- 225 miles of highway to be evaluated. Data must be collected and reported for every tenth mile with contractor provided equipment and collection vehicle. The following roadway data shall be collected: roughness, rutting, distress, texture, and faulting. Video images will be collected on SVHS tapes. The contractor will run the collection vehicle over an approved Certification course. The estimated contract price range is $40,000 to $100,000. Data collection will be completed by September 30, 2001 with final report delivered by December 31, 2001. Selection criteria will be based on evaluation and cost factors. Evaluation factors may include: Specialized experience and technical compliance, Professional qualifications, Capacity to accomplish work in required time, QA/QC, Past performance, and Proximity of firm to sites. Evaluation factors other than cost are significantly more important(60% weight)than cost(40% weight). All sources regardless of size will be considered.
