Description

Background "Program Name: F-16 Common Configuration Implementation Program (CCIP) Phase I -- Procurement of Six Additional Common Color Multifunctional Displays (CCMFDs). The F-16 System Program Office (SPO) intends to issue an RFP for the manufacture of six (6) additional Common Color Multifunctional Displays (CCMFDs) for the F-16 CCIP Block 50/52 engineering proof aircraft. This effort is a follow-on procurement for F-16 CCIP Phase I. This entire announcement may be found at http://www.pixs.wpafb.af.mil/. Responses are due not later than 15 days from the publication of this notice. Response date is 8 Jun 01. This is a notice of contract action. The original notice of contract action for the previous buy of the Color Multifunctional Display (CMFD), was advertised in Commerce Business Daily, dated 22 Sep 1997. No contractors responded to that synopsis. LM Aero, the prime contractor, has replaced the CMFD with the CCMFD as the CMFD can no longer be produced. The F-16 SPO is not able to provide tooling, facilities, design and fabrication drawings/data or a procurement data package for the effort. Installation/retrofit is planned at an Air Force operational base, and will involve the two F-16 CCIP Block 50/52 Engineering Proof aircraft only. Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Company (LM Aero), P.O. Box 748, Fort Worth, TX 76101-0748 is the planned prime contractor for this effort, pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1). The LM Aero point of contact is Mr. Robbie Collins, at (817) 777-2848. The F-16 SPO encourages interested subcontractors to contact LM Aero for subcontract work related to the above described production effort.
