Description

The Strategic Systems Programs intends to contract with Lockheed Martin Navy Electronic and Surveillance Systems (LMNE&SS), a division of Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMC), Mitchel Field, NY for TRIDENT I (C4) and TRIDENT II (D5) Strategic Weapon System Navigation Subsystem fleet support; D5 Backfit production equipments, spares and support; equipment repairs; engineering technical support; D5 Backfit East Coast Modernization; and Strategic Systems Projects Alterations (SPALT) support. The proposed contract will contain both United States Navy and United Kingdom sponsored efforts. As the design agent, LMNE&SS is the only source with the requisite design background, system knowledge and operational experience relative to the TRIDENT Navigation Subsystems capable of providing the required supplies and services within existing cost and schedule constraints.
