Description

Sole Source. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Anthropological Research, LLC, 5000 W. Placita de los Vientos, Tucson, AZ 85745-9235 for a Hopi Ethnographic Overview and Reconnaissance of USAYPG. Under federal laws and executive orders, it is necessary to consult with Native American Tribes to inform them of any federal undertakings that USAYPG will be performing. The Hopi Tribe has collaborated with Anthropological Research, LLC for the identification of Hopi traditional cultural properties and prehistoric sites on various military installations. Therefore, the contract must be awarded to this company to further our continued consultation with the Hopi Tribe as required by federal law. Pursuant to FAR Part 12 and 13 this acquisition will be issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for a commercial item. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541720 with a size standard of $5M. Responses other than the above source may identify their interest to perform the requirement by submitting a proposal by way of an email to cesar.reta@yuma-exch1.army.mil . Your proposal must demonstrate that your firm possesses the training, experience and capability to perform this service of a Hopi Ethnographic Overview and Reconnaissance of USAYPG. Responses shall be received by 25 May 2001.
