Description

Solicitation N00421-01-Q-0851 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This action is not set aside for small business. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with Trivec Avant. for UHF SATCOM Antennas, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. These antennas will be used by the special operation forces and must be capable of being dismantled and stored for transport in a case no longer than 36 inches nor wider than 12 inches. The combined weight may not exceed 25 pounds. The frequency range must cover 240-400 MHz, and the maximum Radio Frequency must reach 200 watts. Trivec Avant has been established as the only provider of this antenna with the required capabilities. The contract line item number and description is **CLIN 0001 Quantity 10 each P/N AV2012-4, UHF SATCOM Antenna. Award is expected 4 June 2001. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 30 May 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received.
