Description
The National Park Service, Department of the Interior, is soliciting proposals from firms having the capability to perform the work described below. A negotiated firm-fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and price proposal. The Government will consider an offeror's technical capability in comparison to its price, with award being made to the lowest price technically acceptable proposal. The scope of this contract is to fabricate and deliver four (4) solar powered water pumping trailer units. The trailers must provide 1920 gallons of water per day to operate four showers which are located outside the trailer. Water source to be provided by the Government. AC powered pumps must be designed to deliver a minimum of 8 GPM and 20 PSI at the showerheads. The trailer system to also provide photovoltaic solar powered modules to provide electrical power for pumps and Cabana Dressing Rooms and Bathrooms (Cabanas and Bathrooms not in contract). In case of evacuation for hurricane weather, the entire system shall be quickly movable. The trailers will be delivered to the Assateague Island National Seashore, near Chincoteague, VA. The technical qualifications of firms submitting proposals for this project will be evaluated using the following criteria: 1) Specialized experience and technical competence of offeror in fabrication of similar projects, 2) Compliance with Solicitation Requirements, 3) Business References, 4) Past Performance. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued electronically on/about June 6, 2001 on the Department of Interior's Business Opportunities website, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. It is anticipated that the Department of Interior will be conducting all future business opportunities via electronic commerce. Prospective Offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI should register at the FedBizOps link below. Proposal documents will be made available in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF. Specifications will be available in Adobe format, and drawings will be available in TIFF format. Offerors wishing to receive notification of changes to the solicitation must revisit the website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on a periodic basis to check for the most recent amendment, as applicable. Offerors may also register at http://www.FedBizOps.gov No other notifications of updates will be sent to prospective offerors. The time for completion of this project is 60 calendar days after award. The exact due date for proposals will be identified in the RFP. All responsible Offerors may submit an offer that will be considered.
