- Description
- DESC: The National Park Service, Contracting has a requirement to be constructed for the Everglades National Park (hereinafter called "Government'). The Vessel shall be designed and built to operate year-round within a 500 Nm radius of Key West, Florida. The Vessel shall be inspected and certification by the USCG for voyages in exposed ocean waters as a Small passenger Vessel (Subchapter T). The Vessel shall also be designed to ABS Rules for high-speed craft. However, the Vessel shall not be classed by ABS. The Vessel shall be a parent hull design with minor changes to accommodate specific operational requirements. The Vessel shall be designed as a crew/supply-type Vessel with overnight accommodations for 10crew members. The primary mission of the Vessel is transporting personnel and cargo from Key West, FL to the Dry Tortugas. The Vessel shall be arranged with a Pilothouse, a Main Deck lounge outfitted for seating 30 passengers a cargo deck on the Main Deck aft, two staterooms, a galley/mess for the crew, and two bunkrooms with four berths each. A minimum of one handicapped-accessible head shall be provided in the Main Deck passenger lounge. Two heads with showers shall be provided one for the staterooms and one for the bunkrooms. Storage compartments for dry, refrigerated and frozen stores cargo shall be built into the aft portion of the Main Deck lounge with access only from the cargo deck. A section of the Main Deck lounge or the Pilothouse shall be segregated and outfitted to function as s Ship's Office. This commercial item acquisition is being conducted in accordance with FAR part 12 and FAR subpart 13.5. The solicitation number is N5280010315 and is being issued as a Request For Proposals (RFP). This solicitation is a 100 % small business set aside. The National Park Service anticipates award of a Fir Fixed Price Contract for the quantity of one (1) Vessel. The Vessel will be delivered FOB Destination to Key West, FL. Details will be included in the solicitation. It is anticipated that the RFP will be available in late June with proposals due 30 days after the issuance of the RFP. The opening/closing response date listed is an estimate.The NAICS code for this acquisition is 336612, with a small business size standard of 5000 employees. This synopsis does not constitute an IFB or RFP, nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach.All responsible small business sources will be considered.
