Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has the following requirement for subscriptions to scientific journals. The Government intends to award an Indefinite Quantity Contract for scientific journals subscriptions for a base and two option years. This is a synopsis for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6. as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. Request for Proposal No. 5114-1-2002 and will be available on or about 1 June 2001, with proposals to be received not later than 2:00 p.m. (CST), 2 Jul 2001. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-25. This solicitation is issued pursuant to full and open competition. Any responsible contractor may submit a proposal. The NAICS Code is 51112 and business size is 500 employees. Provision FAR 52.202.2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Jan 1999) is included and states: The government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation is the most advantageous to the government , price and other factors considered. The following factors will be used to evaluate offers: quality of service, past performance on similar contracts, and price/price-factors, with quality and past performance being first in importance. The government will issue a delivery order for the journal subscriptions required each year to the successful offeror. Annual estimated subscriptions are $320,000.00. Minimum annual order on this contract shall be $60.00 maximum annual order shall be $320,000.00. Delivery to FOB: Destination -- USDA-ARS-MWA-NCAUR-Library, 1815 N. University Street, Peoria, IL.
