Description

The DHHS/HRSA Contract Operations Branch intends to exercise the negotiated option to provide Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to United States Postal Service (USPS) employees under Contract Number 232-01-0021, awarded to Magellan Behavioral Health on December 1, 2000. This requirement was previously advertised in the Commerce Business Daily on April 24, 2000 under Submission Number 447992. Offerors interested in performing USPS EAP services should submit information sufficient to demonstrate that they can perform the work and provide an overall better value to the Government. If, based on the information received, the Government determines that another offeror possesses the capability to perform the services and has submitted an offer which is determined to represent an overall better value, then the Government will elect not to exercise the option. Upon such a determination by the Government, USPS services will be obtained under a separate full and open competitive requirement. Interested parties should submit evidence of their capabilities and cost information within 30 days of the date of this synopsis.
