Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Bayer Corporation of Tarrytown, NY for the purchase of an Automated Urine Chemistry Analyzer with Carousel Sample Handler. Purchase will include all delivery, installation and training as required for the VA Hospital in Asheville NC. The Government believes that the Bayer Clinitek Atlas-Model P/C 5001/5003A is the only automated urine chemistry analyzer that performs nine chemistries, specific gravity, color and clarity. This notice is not a request for competive quotes however, responses received on or before noon on June 22, 2001 will be evaluated. Offerors responding to this notice must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer and at a minimum include equipment brochures, company literature, plus a list of at least three references from similar facilities who are currently using the suggested equipment.
