Description

Furnish a 40 ton truck mounted hydraulic crane. The crane must be capable of handling slings that are 65 feet long; minimum of a 20 tons per single pickup; and needs to have the appropriate number of outriggers for a crane of this size. It needs to be delivered FOB Destination at Mt. Elbert Powerplant, which is approximately 30 miles west of Leadville, Colorado. The Request For Quotation (RFQ) will be available on or around May29, 2001, with closing date for receipt of bids being June 18, 2001. There is no charge for the first copy of the RFQ, additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 for each copy. After issuance, the RFQ may be viewed, without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation's Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2031, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana. This acquisition is made pursuant to FAR Part 12, Commercial Item Acquisition with Best Value. Award will be made based on factors other than price. Examples of other factors that may be considered are past performance, warranty, service capability. All reasonable sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 3536, the North American Industrial Classification System code is 333923 and the small business size standard is 500 Employees. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
