Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-01-Q-0195 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20 and DCN 20001213. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 336413 and the size standard is 1000 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 47 each Storage Compartment, PN: 1730NR0130 in accordance with drawings which can be requested by contacting the point of contact listed below. Delivery is required F.O.B. Destination within 90 days after award. All items will be shipped to NAVAIR SEFAC Solomons MD. Inspection and acceptance will be at Source by a representative of DCMC. This Storage Compartment will have to pass First Article Testing. The government, NAVAIR SEFAC, Solomons, reserves the right to witness the First Article Testing with the DCMC representative. The government will waive the First article testing only if the following applies: For companies that have previously manufactured the 1730NR0130 Cable Storage Compartment within the past 10 years and have successfully performed and passed the First Article Testing. The government will require proof of successful First Article Testing. This requirement is issued on a sole source basis to Blackstone Business Enterprises Inc,100 Blackstone Ave, Jamestown NY. Blackstone Business Enterprises is the Original Equipment Manufacturer for the Storage Compartment. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. The offeror shall provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, Contractor Establishment Code and Tax Identification Number. To be eligible for award you must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR). If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
