Description
> U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division intends to competitively acquire an Advanced Food Sanitation Center (Adv FSC) for cleaning and sanitizing food serving and preparation equipment in a military field environment. The Adv FSC system will support a three-step wash, rinse, and sanitizing process using a single Modern Burner Unit (NSN 7310-01-452-8137). A pre-wash station and hot water spray washing capability will also be required. The Adv FSC is required to be provided with a Modular General Purpose Tent System (NSN 8340-01-456-3633) component to house the system, which will also include drying racks, worktables, trash receptacles, a portable vapor cleaning machine, and a grease separator. There will be no Government Furnished Equipment. The estimated total quantity of systems to be produced over the life of the contract is 2000. Initially, the contractor will design and fabricate up to six (6) Adv FSC's test units for delivery to support independent Government tests. The first six (6) test units shall be delivered ninety days after the date of contract award to meet the Government's test schedule. Fabrication of First Article Tests units and up to 100 full rate production units will follow the independent Government tests. Subsequent full rate production units will follow approval of the First Article Test Report. Upon receipt of a delivery order for full rate production units, the contractor will be required to deliver 20 units within 90 days and continue at a delivery rate of 20 units per month thereafter. The contractor will also be required to develop a technical manual, training package, and spare parts to support the system during independent Government testing and full rate production. The Government anticipates that this acquisition will result in the award of a Firm-Fixed Price Requirements contract, consisting of a two (2) year base ordering period and three (3) optional ordering periods (two-year options). This acquisition is a 100 percent small business set-aside and will be conducted as a best value procurement based on the offeror's technical approach, management, experience, proposed price, and past performance in that order of importance. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3569/North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333999. This acquisition is subject to the Berry Amendment. [See Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) 252.225-7012] The Solicitation and applicable technical documentation will be posted on the Acquisition Center's web site, http://www3.natick.army.mil, on or about May 25, 2001.
