Description
The 311 Humans Systems Program Office at Brooks AFB, TX = synopsized the requirement for the Collectively Protected Expeditionary = Medical Systems (CP EMEDS) in the Commerce Business Daily on 8 Mar 01. = On 2 May 01, the synopsis for the CP EMEDS was amended to change the = acquisition strategy from sole source to full & open competition. The = Government anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price, 2-Year Indefinite = Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with a one-year basic period plus = a one-year option period. This procurement of liner systems will be = used within medical shelters to provide chemical and biological (CB) = collective protection to medical forces and their patients. There will = be four First Article units, one for each liner with its carrier bag, = which will be required for both contractor and Government testing = purposes. The First Article units will become part of the production = quantity. The delivery of the production items will commence after the = Government approval of the first articles. The procurement will also = include a request for the development and delivery of Product Drawings = and Associated Lists required by the Government for future procurements = of the systems.
