Description

NON-PERSONAL HOSPITAL HOUSKEEPING SERVICES, RAYMOND W. BLISS ARMY HEALTH CLINIC, FORT HUACHUCA, ARIZONA. The contractor, as a firm, must have experience in managing and providing hospital housekeeping services to institutions of similar size and scope as required by this solicitation. The contractor must have gained this experience as a result of being regularly engaged in the business of providing services in health care/patient care environments (e.g. same-day surgery, outpatient, ancillary, and dental care services). The minimum level of acceptable experience required is 24 months within the previous 36 months from the date initially established for submission of proposals. Periods of creditable performance may have been incurred at more than one site for at least 12 consecutive calendar months at each site and cannot be incurred concurrently. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, management support, transportation, equipment, tools, materials and services (except as specified as government-furnished) to provide complete hospital housekeeping services required to curtail the spread of nosocomial infection and maintain sanitation standards established for Raymond W. Bliss Army Health Clinic (RWBAHC), Fort Huachuca, AZ. There will be a transition period prior to commencement of contract performance. The period of performance is expected to run from the end of the transition period for a basic and four one-year option periods. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about 23 May 2001. Only written or faxed requests (210-221-5402/4430) for the solicitation will be accepted. The request, as a minimum, shall contain the solicitation number, contractor's name, address, phone number, point of contact and size status. This procurement is 100 percent set-aside under the Small Business Administration's Small Business program and only proposals received from responsible small business sources will be considered. The Small Business Size Standard for this requirement is $12,000,000 (average annual receipts over the last 3 years). The work is currently being performed by Government employees undergoing an A-76 Commercial Activities Study. The Federal Government will also submit a bid for the services on this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered.
