Description

DHHS/Program Support Center, Division of Acquisition Management, ADP Acquisitions branch intends to award a sole source simplified acquisition for the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) for abstracted medical records data on magnetic tape for 48 specific hospitals from Solucient, LCC in Evanston, IL. The 48 hospitals scientifically selected by NHCS staff are located throughout the United States and are clients of Solucient, LLC. Because of NCHS confidentiality requirements, the names of the individual hospitals cannot be provided. Only organizations of a magnitude to be able to submit UHDDS data on at least 100 hospitals throughout the country should submit their client list for review. This action for which the government intends to solicit one source is under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit their capability statement that demonstrated their ability to respond to this requirement. All responsible sources shall be considered. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available; therefore, requests for such documents will be considered invalid responses. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be in writing and must reference to 01C107004, attention Diane Coger. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days from the date this synopsis is published, the Contracting Officer will proceed to issued a purchase order to Solucient, LLC. See Note 22.
