THIS IS A CORRECTION TO SUBMISSION NO. 50l7H9. DESCRIPTION TO READ: USE OF 100 KH COMMUNICATIONS CHANNEL ON A GEOSTATIONARY SATELLITE IN KU BAND, RFP 01WRSS0016 U.S. Geological Survey is preparing to release Request for Proposals (RFP) 01WRSS0016 for: 1. Exclusive use of a 100 kilohertz communications channel on a geostationary satellite in the KU band for coverage of California, Oregon, Washington and Sand Point, Alaska with option to expand to 3 more 100 KH channels; 2. Exclusive use of a 100 kilohertz communications channel on a geostationary satellite in the KU band with coverage of California and Oregon with option to expand to 3 more 100 KH channels. The satellite used for item 2 must be different from the satellite used for item 1 and must be located east of longitude 120 degrees west. Period of performance to begin 7/1/01. This will be a one year, firm fixed price commercial services contract with options for four additional years. A contract may be awarded to one firm for both CLINS 1 and 2, or separate awards may be made for each CLIN. This procurement is unrestricted under NAICS 513340 and SIC 4899.
