Description

Background "This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number is F33601-01-T-0501. This solicitation and incorporated clauses/provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11 and DFARS Change Notice 19990416. The solicitation incorporates by reference the following clauses: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5. Sic Code: 7372 This is a sole source requirement IAW 6.302-1 to Sterling Software (U.S.) Inc., 1404 Fort Crook Road South, Bellevue, NE 68005-2969. NAIC requires support of SMART systems as an integral part of the NAIC messaging environment, providing the capability to deliver and create organizational messages using both AUTODIN and the Defense Messaging System. This RFQ has the following line item(s): Line Item 0001 -- Renewal of SMART Software Licenses/Support Renewal, SS-SMART-02 (5) Systems. Line Item 0002 -- SMART License/Support Reinstatement (5) Systems. The Period of Performance is 01 June 2001 through 30 September 2001. FOB Destination. The Ship to Address is: NAIC/SCXA, Attn: Jim Schennings, 4180 Watson Way, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433-5648. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
