Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), intends to award to a responsible vendor, under the authority of the Simplified Acquisition procedures, FAR Part 13, a firm-fixed price purchase order for the "Evaluation of Cryptosporidium and Giardia in CSO". The contractor shall collect and analyze four samples from each overflow event for a total of 48 analytical samples. The contractor shall collect the samples necessary to conduct the required quality assurance analyses and to provide a sample to EPA for other purposes. A Perth Amboy,NJ, CSO shall be included in the outfalls sampled. Outfalls in Pittsburgh, PA shall be excluded. The contractor shall select the locations of the other combined sewer systems and overflows to be sampled. In addition, there will be three (3) additional Optional Tasks specified in the Request for Quotation (RFQ). This is a small business set-aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 54172. All responsible sources may submit their desire for a written copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) not later that 15 days from the posted date of this submission.
